About Planet Chiropractic

Planet Chiropractic has spent nearly three decades connecting chiropractors with their colleagues and sharing news and events with the chiropractic community worldwide.

PlanetChiropractic.com went online on December 2, 1998. Our founder, Michael Dorausch, D.C., was a newly graduated chiropractor (Class of ’98) who taught himself HTML, Perl and everything else it took to run websites back then.

Internet providers in those days couldn’t supply the bandwidth the site needed to run and stream media, so Michael set up the original office in downtown Los Angeles, near the Wilshire corridor. Planet Chiropractic was the earliest chiropractic site (and one of the earliest in general) to stream media.

The site grew fast. After it was added to Google News, some posts drew more than 250,000 visitors in a single day, and hosting companies would call to ask what was going on. Along the way, thousands of people found jobs, patients found chiropractors, and chiropractic philosophy and the sacred trust were well represented.

The site ran as Planet Chiropractic until it rolled into NearMe Networks, LLC, founded in 2006. Its sister site, PlanetC1.com, carries that work forward today, and on December 2, 2026, Planet Chiropractic turns 28.

Today PlanetChiropractic.com is owned and operated by NearMe Networks, LLC.

With Gratitude

Planet Chiropractic would not exist without the people who supported us in the early days. Thank you to these early supporters, all chiropractors, who shared their words and wisdom with the community.

More names are coming.
